ATLAS, the officially-recognised Assises
de la Traduction Littéraire en Arles (annual translators'
congress in Arles), is based in Arles and has an office in Paris. |

It was created to organise the annual Assises de
la Traduction which take place in Arles every November. |
|
Its twin aims are to promote literary translation as a creative undertaking, and to protect the status of the literary translator. |
